1. Beginning Sunday, I am going on a whole foods diet. "Diet" as in what I eat -- a healthy diet, not one geared specifically toward weight loss. That should be a benefit, though...I've got weight to lose.
2. Beginning today, like, RIGHT NOW, I am going to leave my modem off during the day. Obviously if there's something I absolutely have to look up or do online, I can turn it back on, but I think the only way I'm going to get off my ass and do something with my day/life is if I can't get on the internet. I'm also going to scale waaaaay back on our TV channels. TV is not my problem -- I watch stupid shows at night, and that's lame, but during the day I don't watch anything at all. But my kids do. The TV is on most of the day. The shows are educational, sure, but when they're watching hour after hour, it's not cool. I am hoping that by cutting back my internet use and cutting out most of our TV channels, I will be more productive and more attentive to my kids, my house, and my writing. It should be good for all of us. I'll let myself get back online at the end of the day, so maybe I will come back here and report my success this evening.
That is all.
